DirectCPV had an extremely productive few days at adtech New York from November 4-6, we were able to meet with tons of CPV and PPV advertisers, publishers, and other networks. We are also extremely proud to be one of the most popular exhibitors at the show this year.
This year’s conference and exhibition featured keynote speakers, panels and educational workshops to help provide advertisers with new tools and techniques to succeed in today’s competitive environment. From exploring the tradeshow floor, we noticed a few trends that were rising in the cost per view and pay per view advertising and the online marketing industry:
1. The Importance of Targeted Traffic
Many networks and advertisers are focusing on contextually targeted and specialized traffic in order to bring higher quality traffic to their partners. In response, networks are concentrating on creating and generating leads through rich content and text links, including SEO portals.
Advertising networks, including DirectCPV, are making huge technological advancements to incorporate exclusive contextual targeting products into their advertising services.
2. Email should not be forgotten
Although many conversations at adtech were focused on paid search, pay per view (PPV) advertising, or SEO marketing, email marketing still remains most important when it comes to reaching and connecting users with products or services. Marketers should be focusing on quality over quantity as a crucial factor in email campaigns. Having worthy content and deliverability (number of emails actually reaching inbox) remains the top priority to increasing revenue and profits for email marketing.
3. Remember to be more Social
While networking in the old sense is still necessary, social media networking has become one of the most popular ways to garner attention. We noticed that many social media affiliates were introducing advertisers to intriguing new ways for influencing social media outlets to better reach their audience.
Some major social networks announced their plans to open their platforms to a wider range of developers and brands. This new model of social media is now focused on not only buying click impressions, but also on consumers, buying engagement and customer loyalty.
4. Rising popularity of CPV advertising
At the DirectCPV booth, there was a lot of interest in our cost per view (CPV) or pay per view (PPV) advertising solutions. Many advertisers are beginning to incorporate this cost-effective and contextually targeted form of internet advertising into their online marketing campaigns. It seems like the secret gold mine that is CPV advertising is beginning to become exposed!
Here are a few pictures of the DirectCPV booth!
If you missed us this time, we will be present at the upcoming Affiliate Convention LA, and Affiliate Summit West 2010. Make sure to drop by our booth, or give us a call to set up a personal meeting!
