CPV KEYWORD CAMPAIGN TIPS

  1. Keyword bidding allows you to bid on keywords people are typing into leading online search engines.

  2. DirectCPV uses exact match keyword bidding. This means a bid for ipad will NOT appear for ipads. Be sure to add both variations to your list. You may also want to add i-pad, i pad, i-pads, and i pads to get all of the different variations people could type.

  3. Keyword phrases often outperform keywords. travelling to mexico may outperform mexico because people typing travelling to mexico are more likely to be interested in travel.

  4. Bidding on hundreds of keyword phrases helps you get enough traffic. Bidding on very few keyword phrases can result in running under budget. Build a large list containing all of the keywords and variations you can think of to avoid running under your desired budget.

  5. Use Googles Keyword Suggestion Tool to generate a large list of related keywords and key phrases.

  6. Bid on misspellings of your keywords using a Keyword Typo Generator to boost your traffic

  7. Enter your competitors names as keywords.

  8. Bid on abbreviations, synonyms, acronyms and industry specific terminology/jargon.

  9. Add geo-targeted keyword variations using Keyword Mixer. This tool allows you to enter a list of cities (ie New York, Los Angeles, Tampa Bay, etc) and several keywords (travel, travelling, vacations, vacation). It then generates a list containing every variation.

This tool can also be used for building keyword lists containing other variations (ie big red widgets, small red widgets, big green widgets, small green widgets).

(TIP: Use the Reverse Order option to generate more keywords travel florida will not cause your ad to appear for florida travel so add both to your keyword list!)
